Hide user profile information from other users

Hi, is it possible to hide the users info (emails etc...) in the user profile from the other users. Except from the admins maybe.

Thanks

In http://community.myslimband.com/dashboard/role uncheck Profile>View for the roles you wish to not have the ability to see this information. You can read more about roles and permissions here: http://blog.vanillaforums.com/news/vanillas-roles-permissions-and-ranks/.

    Thanks!

  • Is it possible just to hide the email information from other users in the profiles? Because by changing permissions, it blocks the access instead and nobody can't write to each others walls. It can be hidden even from the admin, since we can see it in the backend

Email has its own view permission on that page. Just uncheck Email<View.

  • Apparently it doesn't show the emails anymore... ;o)

  • Hi Laura,

We notice that the permissions allow individual users to still allow their email to be visible their profile. Is there a way we can remove this setting?

We really don't want anyone disclosing their email addresses on the forum or have the option to do that.

I can disable the editing of emails, which would have that effect, but it would also prevent users from editing their address in general. Is that alright?
